🇬🇧 Metropolitan areas in Europe are facing a double transition, evolving into becoming more environmentally sustainable and embodying digital solutions to make their citizens’ life easier.
These processes are complex and have to start from a community-led metropolitan planning to be actually inclusive and to ensure that transitions are fair and equitable.
The MICAD Project, financed by the Horizon Programme (ID: GA n. 101178684), proposes a robust framework for inclusive metropolitan co-planning policies, centering on climate and digital transitions globally, with a specific focus on Europe.
Starting from real case studies drawn from the consortium metropolitan areas, participants attending the workshop will vest the role of a metropolitan authority, discussing among them how to engage citizens and stakeholders in policy-making processes and governance planning, and how to advocate for transformative impact supporting broader governance frameworks at regional, national, and European level.
