Equality is not a final destination; it is a work in progress. From Anna Maria Mozzoni to Tina Anselmi, from the Istanbul Convention to the EU Pay Transparency Directive, every milestone has been hard-won, never merely granted.

Yet today, the foundational principle of European identity faces the risk of being hollowed out. We are witnessing a rollback on reproductive rights, persistent participation gaps, systemic violence against women, and regressions in LGBTQ+ rights—all while poverty increasingly bears the face of those left behind.
