The FACTORY is the space of the Festival dedicated to European project design as a concrete practice.

It is a hands-on lab where participants work on real projects using tools, models and documents from EU project design — the same used in everyday professional practice. The lab sessions unfold across the three days of the Festival.

What it is

The Factory is not a set of activities, but a way of working.

A guided space where European project design is practiced: ideas are developed, pathways are built, and needs, tools and opportunities are brought together.

Here, project design moves beyond theory and becomes a shared process.

What happens
The Factory takes shape in the European Project Design Lab, a three-session lab running throughout the Festival.
It is a guided working space where European project design is practiced in a concrete way: participants work on real project ideas, using tools, models and documents from EU project design.
In practice:
• working on real project ideas, individual or shared
• using tools and models from European project design
• guided development of key project elements (objectives, activities, results, partnerships)
• use of real examples, templates and documents from professional practice
• progressive development towards a project proposal

Who it is for

The FACTORY brings together European project designers, consultants and trainers, third sector organisations, public and private bodies, schools, universities, students and young people, youth organisations, professionals and actors working in education, culture and active citizenship.

It is designed for those interested in developing project ideas and European pathways through concrete, guided work.

AFTER THE FESTIVAL: COMMUNITY

The  Factory does not end with the Festival.
What is developed here
continues as project ideas, working processes and concrete proposals.

EPF26 European Project Design Book

Tools, methods and project ideas generated within the EPF Factory

A free operational ebook curated by Alexandra Storari.

Not theory, but tools, models and real project design documents — the same used in the lab and in professional practice.

It is also built on the work of participants, collecting key steps, choices and developments that emerge during the process, and offering concrete material that can be used beyond the Festival.

EPF26 Collaboration Roster

People and organisations from the EPF Fair and Factory

An online section of the Festival website, partly public and partly restricted, dedicated to participants of the FAIR and the FACTORY.

It allows users to explore profiles, connect directly and activate collaborations: search for partners for European projects, share project interests and develop ideas for future calls.

It is not a showcase, but a working tool — a space where relationships initiated during the Festival can continue and evolve into concrete European collaborations and partnerships.
